Director of PR with Social Media and Corporate PR experience
Night Agency is looking for a Director of PR with social media and corporate PR experience. This role will lead the agency’s social media and digital PR strategies for clients and build a team of specialists to execute these programs. Additionally this person will handle all of the agency’s own public relations and foster a presence within the industry.
This person must be able to handle considerable responsibilities and work well in an entrepreneurial environment. This person will work with the partners and account teams to make client recommendations for Night’s diverse portfolio clients, and be responsible for creating, developing, and executing campaigns across new and traditional media, tapping social media, leveraging promotions and digital assets.
We’re looking for a high-energy individual who exhibits strong leadership and can work effectively both as an individual contributor and team member.
Highlights:
• Drive agency PR activities, including writing and communicating press releases, media relations, and corporate blogging.
• Establish relationships with reporters and pitch stories to media to secure coverage of Night Agency in traditional and social media.
• Proactively develop contacts and relationships with media representatives to create opportunities to raise the agency’s profile within the industry.
• Develop ideas and opportunities for feature articles, interviews, presentations and other communications activities that promote agency and client awareness.
• Manage external vendor relationships related to executing marketing and PR activities.
• Run social media activities – fully manage Twitter and Facebook programs along with other social media outreach.
• Hire and manage team of social media specialists as needed.
Skills Required:
• 5-10 years public relations experience, with a background in digital and social media
• Demonstrated success in creating and executing social media programs
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong problem solving skills, ability to multi-task
• Outstanding project management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently
• Hands-on work ethic, detail oriented
• Must have media content experience to include writing and executing
• Experience at a digital agency is crucial
• Outstanding communications skills, a strategic mindset, and ability to interface at an executive level
• Demonstrated ability to contribute strategic level thinking and influence direction
